About Us

We are two aspiring high-school seniors, Rital and Sara. Both of us were so excited to start out our last (and most important) project of our high-school careers, our graduation project. We raked our brains for a topic that we are both equally interested in, and a topic that’s relevant to the problems our world is facing. That’s when we came up with our cosmetic brand, Nebula.

About Nebula

Why the word Nebula? A nebula is a formation of gas and dust in outer space, and it symbolizes the end of one star, to the birth of another. Just like the birth and death of stars, our cosmetics brand will put an end to irresponsible production and will reshape the makeup industry. It envisions compact, multifunctional cosmetic packaging solutions, and organic ingredients for all makeup products. Nebula critically values honesty, transparency, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility. Nebula will also shed light on customer awareness and overconsumption.

Nebula’s Goals

Nebula’s main goals are to spread awareness of consumerism, overproduction, but most importantly— to recognize the struggles employed women face today.★彡On Employed Women
Upon extensive research, not many studies were found on cosmetic designs tailored to hard-working women. Nebula acknowledges the amount of hardships working women face in the industry, and also acknowledges that makeup plays a big part in their routines. Not only do many occupations encourage women to look presentable, but a women’s sense of confidence greatly affects their contribution. To ease their challenges, Nebula promises to create cosmetics that are long-lasting, structurally durable, and skin-safe, so they face lesser struggles when applying their day-to-day products.★彡On Consumerism
With social media influencing being a main marketing strategy, many people fall into the concept of overconsumption or maximalism. Netizens get inspired own many variations of a product or collect items they do not require. Some may even do it for the aesthetic, pride, or pleasure. Although one is free to spend their money how they will, this can lead to major problems economically and ecologically. One of them is overproduction.★彡On Overproduction
Overproducing cosmetics is unfortunately very common in the industry. When a makeup product is trending, this makes the demands of te product skyrocket, so the supplies increase too. However, what happens when the product isn’t trending anymore? The excess cosmetics turn into waste, contributing to landfills. Also, the disposal of plastics and chemicals increase pollution. Overproduction depletes resources as well, by consuming large amounts of water and energy to manufacture. It also damages businesses financially, and can lead to devaluing products.

The lipstick also offers refillable formula to help cosmetic packaging be sustainable.

This multifunctional product will make carrying and applying makeup easier for everyone! It offers a very useful mirror, a finger dent to open the product faster, a sleek and minimal design to simplify usage, and last but certainly not least— a smooth and pigmented blush for every skin tone!
